Daniel Sigismondi, AKA Siggi. Italian musician made the journey to Toronto in 2014 to find his place in the Canadian music scene.
Music always came as a feeling to Daniel as he started appreciating its beauty and understanding the creation process at a really young age. At the age of 13 he co-wrote his first song “Today”.
At the age of 17 he moved to the city of Milan which brought big changes in his life: musically speaking he stepped away from the punk scene and started developing a more mature sound, studying Jazz.
“Beauty is in the difference” and that’s how he started appreciating creating music and he got closer to great singers of the past. After a couple of rough years, now moved in Toronto, he picked up a guitar and had the sudden urge of
singing to communicate with the audience.
Siggi began to devote his time to a solo career, composing songs, recordings his own material and lyrics. Influenced by R&B, soul and found inspiration in classics like Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Jimi Hendrix and Sly and the Family Stone, his sound was nowhere to be found in the Italian music scene.
In Toronto his goal is to make people dance, to give the right positive message, to connect with his simple but meaningful Music.
“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”
