On July 26, 2019 Desmond Jones, a five-piece American rock band from Grand Rapids, Michigan will be releasing their second full-length studio album! A follow up to their debut album “Desmond Jones”, their new album “Hello, Helou” features 4 different songwriters and an eclectic mix of genres and sonic influences. The album was recorded over the course of 2 years in Webberville, MI and was mixed and mastered by Glenn Brown who has worked with acts like Eminem, Greensky Bluegrass, Kid Rock, Billy Strings, Greensky Bluegrass and more. The album will be available on all major platforms starting on July 26. This will also be the first time that the band has pressed an album to vinyl! On August 24, Desmond Jones will host a vinyl release party in their hometown of Grand Rapids, MI featuring special guests The Hacky Turtles and Earth Radio.
“Hello, Helou” contains a wide mix of genres- touching on funk, country and rock and roll. “Split Again” and “Still Creatures” were the first two singles to be released off of the album and are available for streaming right now on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, SoundCloud, bandcamp and more. Desmond Jones is influenced by bands like Frank Zappa, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Grateful Dead, Phish, and Miles Davis. While the band is known mostly for their high energy and fun live shows, this album is a testament to the original music they have written as band over the last seven years.
